Can you add night time pay differentials? I know in my job it starts up at like 6pm and runs to 6am at 10% of your pay. Is it a possibility to do this or get that added in?
The night differential kicks in after 6pm and is a 10% increase. It lasts until 6am.
So if I work from 3pm to 1am my first 3 hrs would be normal pay then 10% more the rest.
Currently I have to clock out after 6pm and swap the pay scale to match the increase. Which is doable but hard to remember as I'm usually in the middle of something at that time
This option is unique to me but may be to other fields of jobs. If I work more than 12 hours in a day I get “shift differential” which is a seperate per hour wage for the entirety of that shift in addition to my regular/over time hours. For example a 12 hour shift would get me 10 hours straight pay, 2 hours overtime pay and 12 hours shift differential at $x/hr. Right now I calculate it myself and put it in the bonuses option for that shift but it would be nice as an auto calculator option.
