Assigned hours for projects - color coding

I'm a mail carrier. Each route has evaluated hours. I would love to be able to assign set hours to a project and just select the project I worked for the day & have those projects color coded.

A calendar format toggle would also be helpful with daily & weekly hour totals visible.

I also miss being able to toggle back and forth between pay periods. Now it's a drop-down and more cumbersome. Don't know why that was changed.
