Geo-fencing would be ideal but even the ability to search/attach job location manually through google maps when adding a shift would be good. For those of us who input our planned roster to your app early, and work at different job sites. This doesn't have to be tied to geo-fencing, so you could impliment it earlier. Again, look to Supershift for inspiration on implimentation

1- To record your location when you punch in and out 2- or, to have geo-fencing set up, so that when you are close to a certain area you are automatically punch in/out?

2 is correct in my view. I think it is well described in the original ask:
“Punch me in when I arrive at a location and punch me out.When I leave that location.“
I struggle a lot with it everyday and often need to think hard to recall what time I arrived or left.
