The company I work for would love to have the option to work on multiple “projects” during one shift. We would like for our employees to be able to switch between “activites” throughout their shift. (Switching job sites, performing repairs or maintenance, painting logs, trip-inspections, etc.) Perhaps a drop down menu behaving similar to “start break”, where it would end your current timer when you pick a new project from the drop-down menu, and immediately clock you back in under the new project. This would create a chain of sub-shifts during the normal 8-10 hour shift. It would allow us to bill employees based on the various projects the work on throughout the day. A favouriting feature for projects would also be lovely, so that employees can star only the projects relevant to them, creating a prioritized drop down menu.
I'm aware that by adding and modifying individual time cards we could achieve this exact thing. But it requires too much buy-in from our employees. They predominantly use the real-time clock-in and clock-out options. So having a way to switch jobs while clocked-in would be lovely.

This is a fantastic idea, we are also jumping around to different projects each day and this would make it way more efficient.
