Paying project(s) with remainder

Can we please add a feature to apply monies paid on outstanding projects that are less than the amount owed. Example: project total is $117.00. Payment of $100 has been paid, $17.00 is remaining. It only let's me mark it paid IF the full amount has been received. PLEASE!!!
