Video guide

In this video, I explain the benefits of upgrading to a paid individual account. The main advantages include the removal of ads, access to mileage tracking, clock-in and clock-out location logging, marking entries as paid or unpaid, and the ability to add photo attachments to entries. These features are particularly useful for freelancers and contractors who need to keep track of their payments and travel. I encourage you to consider these benefits when deciding whether to upgrade your account.

0:00 Okay, so I've been asked what the benefit is of having a paid individual account, because you can just, for the free account, you can track as many time entries as you want.

0:12 The main benefit, uh, that will affect, you know, everybody who upgrades their paid subscription, is that you won't have any more ads.

0:19 You won't be seeing ads, uh, every now and then. As well as the banner ads at the bottom, uh, page down here.

0:27 So that's benefit number one. The other one, the next benefit is you'll get access to a couple of features. If you go into settings, just features got a list of something.

0:38 So you've got mileage tracking. Uh, this one, uh, basically, when you're punching in, you can add in the odometer from your car, put that into the entry when you're punching out, you put in the end, and it calculates the total.

0:54 And then you can sort of include that in your reports, and see, okay, I've tracked, traveled this amount of, uh, kilometers or miles, or what have you.

1:03 Next thing we got, log clock in and clock out location, what this says is when you punch in it keeps a record of your location and turns that into an address, when you punch out does the same.

1:18 And then that's included in your timesheets and exports Uh, the next one, which would probably be most useful for a lot of people is marking as paid and unpaid.

1:31 Uh, this one, uh, basically what you would do is, uh, in your timesheet you can go into a specific entry, you can mark it as paid or unpaid, uh, I mean by default they're all unpaid.

1:44 And that helps you, uh, differentiate between the things that you've been paid for, you haven't been paid for. Go in here and you can hide the ones that have been paid and just see the ones that are unpaid.

1:57 Same thing applies in that project. So you can look at it. Projects here, uh, right now because I have one entry that's paid for this time period, it says partially paid, I can mark the whole thing as paid, uh, or you can go in and, uh, see which ones are paid or unpaid.

2:10 Uh, it's pretty useful for keeping track of, of, uh, payments, especially for freelancers, contractors, and sole proprietors. And then the last thing you have is photo attachments.

2:27 So in your entries, you can add in a photo attachment. Everything else you see is available on the free tier as well.

2:42 You know, except you, you might need to see an ad every now and then. And that's it. There you have it.
