  • adding new members to your team,

  • how to resend or delete invites.

  • how to bring back an ex-employee using their previous credentials so that their previous data is preserved.

I also explain the invitation flow from the perspective of an employee.

Finally, you'll see how to manage invites both on the web app and mobile app, highlighting the differences in sending invites via email or link.

0:00 All right, let's take a look at invites. First, we're going to see how we can add a new member to our team.

0:08 Then we're going to begin to see, all right, how can we resend that invite, how can we delete that invite, and then I'm going to walk you through the process from the perspective of an employee, what is that invitation process, what is that flow like, and finally I'll mention how you can

0:27 bring back an ex-employee, someone who's left your company back into your, someone's left your team back into your team. So let's get started on the web app.

0:36 We're going to go to the team tab here and I'm going to just select invite member to send out an invite.

0:45 So let's say we're going to say, uh, Trusted Bob here, 15, and I'm going to use my support. For the role, I'm going to give them employee.

1:00 In the managing, uh, team members and roles, uh, video, I talked about the different roles and other differences are. So I won't dig into that stuff here.

1:11 Let's just send this out. So when you send out an invite from the web app, what it does is our system sends an email to the email address that you sent.

1:20 You set up, or when you entered, and this is the email that they will get. So it says, invite to the company's name, and, hey, you can join.

1:35 your employee, they can only join your team through the mobile app. So let's walk through the mobile app experience. Let's say I come into my email on the phone, and we have the same email here.

1:51 I'm going to open this on this device. It doesn't have Times Square installed on it or anything. I'm just going to open the email on my phone, hit get started, or that link down there.

2:02 That'll take me to the store to get the Times Square app. Uh, on iOS, it'll work the same. This is an Android device, so I'm taken to Google Play.

2:12 On iOS, it'll take me to the app store. Here, I can just install, and once that installation is done, I can just open, and because I'm coming from that invite link, it'll automatically try to process that invite and say, hey, you've got an invite from Acme Inc.

2:41 How do you want to sign in or sign up? Now, I will say, hey, I want to use my Google, and this is the one I want to use.

2:53 But, uh, your employee, if they have, if they're on an iPhone, they can use Apple ID, Google, whatever, whatever method works for them.

2:58 So now I've successfully joined and I'm going to be switched. To the team account. As you can see, the company name is up here, and this is, this is it, basically.

3:13 I've joined this team successfully. So any times that I crack now, uh, will, will show up with the company. And so that's how, that's the flow of someone joining, uh, your company, what they would, they would see and how that would work.

3:30 Let's go back to the web app and look at how we can resend invites. So you can pretty easily see it here back in the team tab.

3:40 I've got this other invite that I sent out a while ago. I can resend it or I can just delete it.

3:45 From here, uh, pretty straight forward. Now, let's say that you have a user that has left the company or you've removed them, uh, and you want to bring them back.

4:05 How do you do that? It's very straightforward. If you re-invite them, and they use the same credentials to rejoin your team, then what would happen is it'll basically reactivate their account from before.

4:23 So if they've created any type of memories from before being removed from the team, then they, they come back in, uh, using this, an invite, and then they log in with the same email or, Apple ID, whatever they use, then it'll just connect it up, and they'll have their old data as well.

4:43 now, let's take a look at doing the same thing, but from the mobile app. So I've logged into the mobile app using my admin account.

4:53 And here in the crew tab, I can add members using this button up here. Let's say we do Bob. Fifty dollars.

5:11 Sharing my link. So on the mobile, if you're creating an invite on the mobile app, instead of us automatically sending out an email, it generates a link for you.

5:23 So how you send that is up to you just because it may be more convenient to just send it out as a text message versus an email from us.

5:34 So if you want to resend that invite, just click this. Click the invite that you made, and you'll be given with options for resending it or deleting it.

5:41 When you hit Resend, it gives you the link again.
