Privacy questions related to location based features

Your privacy matters to us. Our promise to you:

  • Your location will be saved only when clocked in.

  • Location data is used strictly for work time tracking purposes and nothing else.

Can I pause location tracking at any point?
Yes, when you are on a break or clocked out live location tracking is disabled. You can turn off any of the permissions related to location tracking on your device at any time, though it may hinder time tracking features which depending on your company’s policies may prevent you from adding new time entries.

Who can access my saved location data?
Your company administrators as well as a limited number of Time Squared technical support staff (when responding to a support issue), can access your saved data (including location).

Can I delete my location data?
You can delete all of your personal data when deleting your account. If you are part of a team/company, your tracked times (along with associated location data) will remained saved until that company is deleted, since ownership of that data is transferred to the company.

How will I know when my location is being tracked or saved?
Your device will show an icon in the notification bar whenever location services are being used.
