Joining a Team

Who this is for

Employees or managers who want to join an existing team account.

Before you start

• You have gotten an invite link or email. You can get this invite from someone with the Owner or Manager role in the team.

In this video I walk you through the invitation flow from the perspective of an employee.

In the video I show an invite email, however the process will be the same if you receive an invite link on your phone through text or a messaging app.

Important: Employees must open the invite link on their mobile phone to be able to join.

I demonstrate, how even without having the Time Squared app installed, the invite link will take us through to install the app and join the team.

0:00 I'm going to walk you through the process of, as a, from the perspective of an employee, what is that invitation process, what is that flow like, So when you send out an invite from the web app, what it does is our system sends an email to the email address when you entered, and this is the email that

0:22 they will get. So it says, invite to the company's name, and, hey, you can join. your employee, they can only join your team through the mobile app.

0:36 So let's walk through the mobile app experience. Let's say I come into my email on the phone, and we have the same email here.

0:46 I'm going to open this on this device. It doesn't have Times Square installed on it or anything. I'm just going to open the email on my phone, hit get started, or that link down there.

0:56 That'll take me to the store to get the Times Square app. Uh, on iOS, it'll work the same. This is an Android device, so I'm taken to Google Play.

1:07 On iOS, it'll take me to the app store. Here, I can just install, and once that installation is done, I can just open, and because I'm coming from that invite link, it'll automatically try to process that invite and say, hey, you've got an invite from Acme Inc.

1:36 How do you want to sign in or sign up? Now, I will say, hey, I want to use my Google, and this is the one I want to use.

1:47 But, uh, your employee, if they have, if they're on an iPhone, they can use Apple ID, Google, whatever, whatever method works for them.

1:52 So now I've successfully joined and I'm going to be switched. To the team account. As you can see, the company name is up here, and this is, this is it, basically.

2:08 I've joined this team successfully. So any times that I crack now, uh, will, will show up with the company. that's the flow of someone joining, uh, your company, what they would, they would see and how that would work.
